Secret 7” is an exhibition which takes 7 tracks from 7 of the best known-musicians and presses each one 100 times to 7” vinyl. The result is 700 unique records which are exhibited in London before being sold on a first come, first served basis. However, buyers don’t know who created the artwork or even which song it’s for, until they have parted with their cash. Past contributors include David Shrigley, Gilbert & George, Ai Weiwei, Es Devlin, Sir Paul Smith, Sir Antony Gormley, Jeremy Deller, Polly Morgan, Jake & Dinos Chapman, Yoko Ono, Sir Peter Blake, Julian Opie, Martin Parr, Jenny Holzer, Harland Miller, Gavin Turk. I was fortunate enough to have two successful submission into the final ever show for the tracks ‘Come Over’, by the Internet and ‘Toast’ by Koffee and helped contribute to the total £134,000 raised for the charity ‘Choose Love: Help Refugees’.
